"Let Your Freak Flag Fly" is a song from Shrek the Musical.

This song made me cry.

It brought me to tears because it brought me back to Junior High and High School when I was always trying to "Fit In."

I always felt like I couldn't be the true Dee - Feisty Dynamic and Deemented.

I felt like the "Ugly Duckling."

I vowed I would always encourage others and make them feel special.

We were all born with unique attributes.

Instead of hiding them and feeling like a victim, let's embrace them as our special gifts.

Let's flip the script.

Let's take our power back.
