How To Succeed in Life By Dee DiFatta
Do you ever ponder the question, "How am I suppose to succeed in this world?" These days with the internet and cell phones, we have become accustomed to instant gratification and expedited service; however, I find that technology has also given us false hope in dealing with ourselves and others. Everyone wants to put something out there, have it go viral and be an instant success; however, it's not that easy.
In order to succeed in life, we must first re-define our perspective. Life is not a sprint; it's a marathon and it takes time, patience and commitment to succeed in relationships, business and dog training (Ha,ha.)
I have learned so much in the past year just trying to train my dog Jackson. As a German Shepherd, he needs to be stimulated physically and mentally. It was relatively easy teaching him to sit, stay and lay down; however, it has been incredibly challenging to keep him focused on me and ignore any distractions around him. We are still a work in progress. Although we have come a long way and he listens very well and knows all kinds of tricks, I have embraced the fact that it's going to take time, patience and commitment to get him to the the point where he could possibly be my service dog. It doesn't help that I am mobility challenged too; however, we are getting there one baby step at a time. We will succeed.
