Still Learning Patience & Self Care

Have you ever had one of those really challenging days when you have so much to do and nothing is working for you? It is so hard sometimes to be patient and it is even harder to give yourself permission to walk away from a situation and take some time for yourself to decompress. I get it! I know all about self care but I still forget to do it sometimes. Thank goodness I have friends that nag me about it and I always remind them when it's time to step away and take a break too.

Do yourself a favor and when you find yourself losing patience and getting overwhelmed, take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale out your mouth. This will help you become whole again. It somehow brings your mind, body and spirit back together again so you can get through situations without losing it. For best results, do it more than once.

Just remember that you are only one person and there is only so much of you to give. If you don't take care of yourself, it will become challenging to take care of others. We can do this! (If it makes it easier, find a buddy and do it together.)
