Be Open to New People

Strangers can have a profound impact on your life. 21 years ago, I met a stranger in the fitting room of a retail store where I worked. Mike and I are still together today and have a wonderful 19 year old daughter.

2 years ago, I met LuAnne on the phone before we even went to Bermuda. When we got to the resort, LuAnne took us under her wing as extended family and gave us a personal tour of the island. She took us to "Woody's" and introduced us to her entire family. We went back again this past April and had a family reunion with everyone. It was fantastic!

I met Corrine in Bermuda too. She was visiting the island with her husband, daughter and son-in-law. We struck up a conversation and have been e-mailing each other back and forth ever since. She is one of my biggest cheerleaders.

Be open to new people because they can bring so much joy and happiness to your life. I am truly grateful that I got to meet all of these wonderful people and that they are still such a huge part of my life.
