I used to be a jazz dancer; now I'm a chair dancer.

From the time I was 4 years old, I took dance lessons and loved ballet and jazz. Now after 23 years with MS and legs that seem to have a mind of their own, I still enjoy dancing but I've definitely learned to modify it.

In July 2014, my husband and I were fortunate enough to go to San Francisco on a work trip. We took the wheelchair so we could keep up with all of my co-workers. One night there was a party in the park and there was a 60's band playing great music. A bunch of my co-workers were dancing and since I was sitting in my wheelchair and feeling the beat, I started chair dancing from the waist up. It was a fun night as you can see from the pictures. MS can be a very humbling disease but I am determined it is not going to hold me back from having a good time.
